年末全国共有医疗卫生机构110.7万个，其中医院3.8万个，在医院中有公立医院1.2万个，民营医院2.6万个；基层医疗卫生机构105.5万个，其中乡镇卫生院3.3万个，社区卫生服务中心（站）3.8万个，门诊部（所）42.4万个，村卫生室56.0万个；专业公共卫生机构9231个（不含卫生监督所、中心），其中疾病预防控制中心3478个。卫生技术人员1340万人，其中执业医师和执业助理医师529万人，注册护士603万人。医疗卫生机构床位1009万张，其中医院799万张，乡镇卫生院144万张。全年总诊疗人次[81]105.8亿人次，出院人次[82]3.0亿人次。（见图24）
